Billion-Dollar Megaproject With Basketball Court, Skate Park, Indoor Pool, Launches Condo Sales

A Rendering Of Waterline Square

Waterline Square, the new megaproject in one of the last remaining Manhattan waterfront development sites, has launched condo sales.

The three-tower complex is owned by GID Development Group and designed by a combination of Richard Meier & Partners Architects, Viñoly Architects and Kohn Pederson Fox Associates. When completed, the buildings will total 2.2M SF surrounding a staggering amenity center and private park, sitting between 59th and 61st streets, right on the Hudson River.

The amenity space, dubbed the Waterline Club, will be 90K SF, including the first indoor tennis court in any New York residential project, squash courts, a lap pool, an indoor skate park, an indoor soccer field, a full basketball court, steam rooms, a sauna, a yoga/barre studio, a bowling alley, a movie theater, and several gaming rooms for adults and children.

Move-ins are expected to begin in 2018, and condo prices start at $2M, with an expected 20-year tax abatement. Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is leading the sell-out, which GID hopes will recoup it $1.15B.
