Check Out Midtown East’s Latest Glossy Resi Tower

New renderings are out for Empire Development’s 50-story residential tower at 131-141 East 47th St in Midtown East. Empire’s original plan was for a mixed-use project but now says it’ll be all-condo. The 168k SF building’s 138 units will be clad in an angular glass facade—not distinguishing it much from what’s in the area. What will set it apart, however, are the 50 parking spots it’ll have underneath, as NY YIMBY reports. No permits are yet on file, nor is a listed architect or completion date. [NYY]
