Harlem's 125th Street quarter is blowing up as reinforced by the upcoming Bjarke Ingels Group-designed development at 146 E 126th St. The T-shaped building will cantilever above developer Blumenfeld's Gotham Plaza on 125th Street, and will feature an undulating facade. Extell is also developing in partnership with Blumenfeld. The 231.9k SF development will have 233 units—47 of which will be affordable—and 34,444 SF of commercial space, NY YIMBY reports. The tentative breakdown is 66 studios, 145 one- and 22 two-bedroom apartments. No word on a completion date as the design is still developing. [NYY]
