Another slim, residential supertall tower is being planned in the NoMad neighborhood of Manhattan, and its unique design has been released.

Five Points Development, the company founded by Israeli billionaire Boris Kuzinez, is planning a 1,001-foot tower at 262 Fifth Ave. full of condominiums taking up either a full floor or two floors. Last year, Kuzinez purchased the property, as well as the lots of 260 and 264 Fifth Ave., for $59M.

When permits were filed for the building in September, the plan was for a 54-story, 928-foot structure. The released design also comes with a surprise, 73-foot increase in height.

The first design for a project on American soil by Russian architect Meganom accomplishes such height with the unique floor plan by putting all of the support and mechanical structures on the side of the building. The design will also incorporate the 12-story limestone building at 260 Fifth Ave., while demolishing the existing structures at 262 and 264 Fifth.

At the top of the building will be a viewing deck, covered by a dramatic, arched roof. Planned for the bottom two floors and the basement is 11K SF of retail.
