173 Chrystie Prepares for Demo

A year after Yaniv Cohen's "Acmos on Christie LLC" purchased 173 Chrystie St for $15M, demolition permits have been submitted to the DOB to make way for a new 10-story luxury condo tower.

The condo will have 13 units across 25,265 SF, and a private roof deck. Apartments will average 2k SF. Amenities include a cellar gym and bike storage. Nexus Development is developing, and ODA Architecture is slated to design.

The new building will displace Neuman's Catering, which will likely relocate to its other office a few blocks away. If all goes according to the plans (not yet approved), completion is scheduled for 2018. [BB]
