The Bed-Stuy boom continues as a Karl Fischer-designed mixed-use project set to replace a two-story commercial building at 1134 Fulton St will actually be even larger than initially thought. About a month ago reports pegged an eight-story building with 117 rental units above ground-floor retail to replace the home of a shuttered Key Foods and a Popeyes. However, new renderings reveal an 11-story building, and the architect told the Brownstoner that it will house 189 units in total. The new development will also have affordable units and 18,489 SF of commercial space, including a grocery store as part of the city's FRESH program. 1134-1152 Fulton St was purchased by an LLC for $19M.
