YESTERDAY'S PARTIES, PUTTS & PERFORMING ARTS

Yesterday was an eventful day, with two broker parties, a theater renovation kick-off, and a putting contest. First stop, The Crown Jewel, otherwise known as Monday Properties' 230 Park Avenue.
Your keys to leasing the building's available space: CB Richard Ellis'Patrice Hayden and Fernando Urrutia, Monday's Issa Deas and Craig Panzirer, and CB's Paul Amrich, who gave the building breakdown to Studley and Jones Lang brokers in the first of a series of showings. Included are 22k-SF 26th floor and 72k-SF 7th floor availabilities, whose turnkey space will be market competitive with other area rents, Craig tells us. If you're worried about ceiling height, The Crown Jewel hits 9'2" in perimeter space, a rarity in a landmark building.
Monday's Aaron Twersky shows off the bias relief of the 1928 building, a sample of the mural that will cover the old tenant directory. It's part of The Crown Jewel's current lobby transformation, which includes a seamless new visitors' center on the south side and an upgrade of the current north side center. We couldn't tell that the new center wasn't part of the original construction, thanks to expert landmark architect Beyer Blinder Belle, which was also involved in previous Chrysler Building and Grand Central Terminal renovations, as well as the Empire State Building 's current upgrade.
