| Monday's Aaron Twersky shows off the bias relief of the 1928 building, a sample of the mural that will cover the old tenant directory. It's part of The Crown Jewel's current lobby transformation, which includes a seamless new visitors' center on the south side and an upgrade of the current north side center. We couldn't tell that the new center wasn't part of the original construction, thanks to expert landmark architect Beyer Blinder Belle, which was also involved in previous Chrysler Building and Grand Central Terminal renovations, as well as the Empire State Building 's current upgrade.
