| We snapped CEO Larry Silverstein looking at how our Downtown may eventually look. Much has changed since Bisnow visited the office in February; although Tower One, formerly known as the Freedom Tower, has not risen significantly vertically, much has been done with the steel structure and concrete, Silverstein’s Gianna Frederique tells us. Tower Four is now up to street level, and she says the firm hopes arbitration that decides the fate of Tower Two goes quickly so building can continue. |
| One of the most significant changes, which we've circled, is the progress of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, which has been built up to street level. In the center of our circle, you can now make out the first reflecting pool, and Gianna tells us that the survivor staircase—which stayed intact after the collapse—has been moved to the memorial. She says that, contrary to reports, building of the memorial is impressively on time. |
