RXR Realty chairman Scott Rechler was the man of the hour at the Waldorf on Thursday, as alma mater NYU Schack presented him with its 43rd annual Urban Leadership Award. Scott is flanked by Schack divisional dean Rosemary Scanlon, NGKF prez Jimmy Kuhn, NYU SCPS dean Dennis Di Lorenzo, Deutsche Bank Securities managing director Robert Blumenthal, NYU prez John Sexton, and C&W global brokerage chair Bruce Mosler. Bruce calls Scott an "uncommon man" who "defines the ethos of public-private partnerships." In addition to building up RXR's 18M SF, $5.5B portfolio, Scott is on such boards as the PANYNJ and National September 11 Memorial & Museum.

We also snapped NYU students Anuj Shyam Duseja and David Kline (of Delancey Street Capital) with Schack construction management degree chair Richard Lambeck and director of academic affairs Manish Srivastava, who tells us NYU Schack welcomed one of the largest and most diverse incoming classes of grad students and its first group of BS in real estate undergrads.
