The event, long known as “Liar’s Ball," is a night of networking, closing deals and lashings of booze. It is also an evening for handing out the industry’s top awards.

Tishman Speyer President and outgoing REBNY Chairman Rob Speyer received the Harry B. Helmsley Distinguished New Yorker Award, while Sen. Chuck Schumer was given the John E. Zuccotti Public Service Award, which is handed out to public officials who make positive differences in New York.

Stribling & Associates founder Elizabeth Stribling won a lifetime leadership award, while Richard LeFrak was honored for his humanitarian work.
