kloudtrack announced yesterday that it expanded its Innovation Sandbox initiative to the HealthTech sector. The program, which partnered with the University of Maryland, will allow healthcare, medical, and life science organizations to test, research, teach, and learn innovative technologies in a proof-of-concept “sandbox” environment. kloudtrack, which also partners with Cisco on the project, debuted the Innovation Sandbox concept last year focused on public sector projects. kloudtrack CEO Mike Binko says the gov/public sector Sandbox has federal agencies like HHS, DOJ, and VA lined up to try out several IT projects in cloud, big data, cyber, and virtualization. He’s now working on launching the next Innovation Sandbox, which will be cyber focused.
