We stopped by Crowdskout’s HQ within WeWork’s Chinatown co-working space yesterday. Zack Christenson (front) and George Yates, with three developers, are working on a data and analytics intelligence platform to help nonprofits, content publishers, and marketers identify and better reach their audiences. George says display ads are diminishing and targeting a message is becoming more important to generate revenue. A nonprofit, for example, could load its email list into Crowdskout and get back profiles based on interests through predictive modeling. Communications can then be more tailored and effective. The angel funded-company will release a product in May and is on a hiring blitz, hoping to more than double by the end of the year. (More WeWork space is already on reserve.)
