Über's Next Opening

ÜberOffices founder Raymond Rahbar, who launched the co-working business in 2012, told us yesterday he's working on getting a fifth location open, this one in Bethesda. The 20k SF space will bring Über’s total square footage in the area to 88k SF, including Arlington, Tysons, and two in Dupont Circle. The company also recently hired Myra Fitzwater to run the Tysons space. (She ran TeqCorner, the region’s first co-working space, for over 10 years.) Raymond says there’s a recognition that commercial real estate is broken for startups, and the co-working model helps landlords lease their space and helps startups get access to a small office space.
