10Pearls Adds Four

This 10Pearls team, on a recent fishing trip, will have to make room for a few more people after acquiring Gemini Security Solutions this week. The software development firm in Herndon, Va., specializes in enterprise applications, mobile, and the Internet of Things. Gemini brings security features often missing from these kinds of apps. 10Pearls CEO Imran Aftab (bottom, right corner) says there’s huge security risk with consumers using their phones to control their homes, cars, and medical devices. Gemini CEO Peter Hesse, who pioneered PKI technology and co-authored NIST reference architecture, will join 10Pearls as chief security officer.
