This Fast Casual Burger Chain Is Closing in on Shake Shack

Shake Shack and Five Guys are feeling the grill heat from BurgerFi, a competitor quickly biting away at the fast-casual burger market.

Since launching in 2010, by year-end it will have opened 81 US locations, making it one of the fastest-growing burger chains around, Business Insider reports.

The free-range burger joint exudes a sustainable, all-natural vibe on all sides—from furniture made of upcycled milk jugs and Coke bottles to its slogan: "from the farm, not the lab.”

Steve Lieber, BurgerFi's global brand ambassador, says the restaurant "wanted to create a feel-good environment in all aspects” with “natural food and natural design.” [BI]
