Amazon is offering a beacon of hope to millennials who thought they would never be able to afford a home.
The tech giant, which has built an empire based on constant innovation, is now selling a variety of tiny home kits with prices ranging from $3,500 to about $60K — and it is doing it all online, The Real Deal reports.
The concept takes inspiration from when customers once ordered prefabricated housing kits through catalogs. Now, the process requires a few clicks of the mouse before the new house is purchased online and ready to be delivered.
The catch? While you may now be able to afford a home, the land is sold separately.
The tiny houses, which range from a miniature 75 SF cabin with a 143 SF terrace, to a fully outfitted 320 SF shipping container, to a 725 SF handcrafted timber-frame cabin with ceiling and loft, could offer another affordable housing option to buyers throughout the country.
