John McCarthy Rejoins Starwood Capital

Starwood Capital Group has announced that John McCarthy has been rehired to their executive team. McCarthy will assume the role of managing director, Global Capital Raising, and will be responsible for expanding and managing relationships with targeted investors worldwide for future and existing investing initiatives. He was previously part of the Starwood executive team from 2009 through 2012, when he served as Global Head of Asset Management and was also a part of the company’s investment committee, reports GlobeSt. McCarthy worked for the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority as Deputy Head of Europe and Senior Portfolio Manager prior to rejoining Starwood. Starwood EVP and CFO Jeremy Silvey said, “We are delighted to welcome John back to the Starwood Capital Group team.” [GLO]
