Real estate developer Meridian has hired industry veteran Dan Rosenbaum (above with his wife) to a new division focused on suburban office properties.

Meridian is building out the new division in response to all-time high rental rates for Class-A properties in the Bay Area. In an environment where VCs are demanding startups keep tight control over expenses, the company is betting suburban properties will be in demand.

"We are very excited to welcome Dan to our team," says Meridian COO John Pollock. "His wealth of experience in suburban general office acquisitions will be a great asset to our organization as he plays a key role in developing this new line of business for Meridian.”

Dan exclusively tells Bisnow, “In my nearly 30 years in commercial real estate in the Bay Area, I have had the pleasure to work with and around some of the well-known developers in the Bay Area. I look forward to assisting Meridian with its continuing positive growth and greater market presence through this general office division.”

Dan was previously SVP at Nearon Enterprises for nearly 13 years, where he specialized in the acquisition, development, management and disposition of office, industrial and retail properties.
