JLL retail chief Greg Maloney tells us the firm is reorienting its structure to emphasize local market knowledge and experts. Already, it's named local retail leads in Chicago, Florida, and Atlanta and gradually will announce a dozen more before 2015. At the same time, the firm is having tenant rep, project management, and capital markets all report into its national retail group.
Greg points to where he sat at opening day of the renovated Soldier Field in Chicago, where his beloved Bears played the Packers and he "heckled the hell out of Brett Favre." (Some think that's the reason Brett left Green Bay.) A sports nut, Greg broke his wrist in a slip at a Georgia Tech football game last fall; he recently got the cast off and is looking forward to celebrating at The Atlanta Athletic Club in a couple weeks with his first golf round since the mishap—just as soon as he celebrates his 30th wedding anniversary with an Alaskan cruise.
