Key Blackstone Exec In Chinese Market Joins KKR

One of Blackstone’s former senior execs, the man largely responsible for building out the firm’s real estate business in China, just joined KKR.

Rob Yang, the former managing director at Blackstone in Hong Kong, left the firm earlier this year and just took on a similar role at KKR, the Wall Street Journal reports. Yang will continue to be focused on growing the Chinese real estate business, as investors continue to see potential for growth in areas with strong fundamentals.

Yet experts say taking advantage of opportunities in China’s real estate will become more challenging as the property market matures and the economy starts to slow. [WSJ]
