Trepp Enhances Analytics Capabilities, Acquires Cerulean Analytics

Analytics, information and technology company Trepp has acquired Cerulean Analytics for an undisclosed sum.

The recently announced deal will enhance Trepp’s capabilities in the areas of performance benchmarking, manager performance and predictive analytics among its areas of focus, which include structured finance, commercial real estate and banking.

Last year, Trepp acquired U.K.-based Codean in an effort to broaden the collateralized loan obligation deal library to include U.S. and European database assets.

The Cerulean platform supplies CLO deal analytics around returns attribution, risk assessment and transactional optimization in addition to analytics that determine judgment, execution and trading abilities.

“Cerulean’s advanced analytics capabilities essentially turbo-charge Trepp’s CLO capabilities for our clients. The rich analysis coupled with the data visualization and reporting technology will benefit our clients with better and faster insights,” Trepp Chief Product Officer Steven Baumgartner said in a release.
