According to a survey released Wednesday, one-third of real estate executives believe Donald Trump is the best presidential candidate.
International law firm Seyfarth Shaw polled 139 power players in the commercial real estate industry—including owners, developers and investors—to gauge what's on their minds for the coming year. And of course, the presidential election was one of the questions.
It turns out The Donald's got great appeal among his real estate peers, taking a commanding lead in the survey: Jeb Bush came in second at only 13%, while Hillary Clinton trailed behind at 12%.
Most surprisingly, Bernie Sanders—who defeated Clinton in Tuesday's New Hampshire primary—scored a measly 3% in the survey. "The recent surge in support for liberal Democrat Bernie Sanders is not shared by commercial real estate executives," says the Seyfarth Shaw report.
