EDITOR'S NOTE

Is commercial real estate ready for coronavirus?

As the outbreak spreads across the globe, the virus is dominating conversations at home and work. It seems our industry is already feeling coronavirus’ impact, from construction sites and industrial supply chains and hotel occupancy to the luxury retail sector and international stock market fluctuations.

Uneasiness abounds, but rather than succumb to the hysteria, let’s have a conversation that goes beyond the headlines and fear.

Below is a detailed questionnaire aimed at helping CRE make sense of where it stands now when it comes to the coronavirus, how it is preparing for the weeks and months ahead and what questions still remain. We will run this survey in all of our newsletters and morning briefs for the next few days and then return with the results.

Our subsequent news report, based on your candid feedback and answers, will be measured — all in the hopes of fulfilling our company’s mission: to inform, connect and advance the commercial real estate community to do more business.

Sincerely,

Mark F. Bonner
