We now have proof that Chipotle is not only a solid meal but also a solid investment. A Union Square retail and office building anchored by the famous burrito brand at 211 Sutter recently traded to an undisclosed high-net-worth buyer from China, and our sources let us in on the price tag: The 10-story, 38k SF site traded for right around $500/SF. The property celebrated its 100th birthday in 2007 and got upgrades in the past few years. The buyer "went hard" upon signing the purchase and sale agreement, sources tell us. Colliers repped the seller.
