PODCAST: Behind The Numbers Of Bisnow's DEI Data Series

DEI Data Series 2023 Chart
Bisnow
The number of people of color and women at 89 of the biggest C-suites has steadily grown in recent years, according to an annual Bisnow analysis.

On this episode of Bisnow Reports, we discuss the results of the fourth edition of Bisnow's DEI Data Series

The analysis covers the boards and C-suites of 89 of the biggest firms in commercial real estate, across four sectors of the industry. The results show the industry is making steady progress toward more representation but is still overwhelmingly white and male in the top ranks.

Joining host Miriam Hall, in her final episode hosting the show, are Bisnow Deputy Managing Editor Ethan Rothstein and Melina Cordero, founder of leadership and diversity, equity and inclusion consulting firm P20. They discuss not only the results of the analysis but also the process of gathering the data, the political backlash against DEI programs and the latest on corporate diversity efforts beyond the numbers.

Bisnow’s audio series, Bisnow Reports, examines every facet of the international commercial real estate industry — from the murky future of retail and office to real estate’s reckoning with diversity to the effects of climate change on the built world, and so much more.
