Bisnow won multiple awards from the National Association of Real Estate Editors, the preeminent association for real estate writers and editors in North America and Europe. The awards were announced last week at NAREE’s annual real estate journalism conference in Las Vegas.
Bisnow Boston reporter Cameron Sperance was awarded first place in the category of Best Collection Of Work by An Individual Covering CRE. Sperance was recognized for:

“The Crazy Plan That Could Be Boston's Amazon HQ2 Silver Bullet”
In the Best Newsletter category, Bisnow won two awards. Bisnow D.C. reporter Jon Banister won first place for ‘Broken Process’: Why 4,000 Units Of D.C. Housing Are Stuck In Federal Court. Sperance was awarded second place in the same category for “Smashing The Lavender Ceiling: Inside The LGBT World Of CRE.” Banister also received an honorable mention in the category of Best Online Commercial Real Estate Story for his exclusive report, “The DC Brokerage Diversity Problem That No One’s Talking About.”
"These awards represent Bisnow's first-ever journalism honors, and we could not be prouder of the work these reporters achieved for themselves and our growing news report," Bisnow Editor-in-Chief Mark F. Bonner said. "The commercial real estate industry has a better understanding of itself because of these hard-hitting stories."
The competition was judged by an independent panel of professors from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, and included submissions from The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, The Washington Post, The Real Deal and several other news organizations in North America and Europe.
NAREE is a trade association for real estate writers and editors, founded in 1929.
