JLL switched up the leadership of its Capital Markets Group Thursday, tapping Steve Collins to assume the newly created role of head of capital advisors for the Americas.

In his new role, Steve will be responsible for leading the CMG team, “expanding the firm’s reach with global investors,” and “driving business opportunities,” according to a statement.

Steve, formerly president of CMG Americas, will be replaced by colleague Jon Geanakos (pictured).

Steve's "passion for pursuing business and building relationships will be instrumental as we seek to expand our reach as well as our businesses in Canada and Latin America,” says Jay Koster, JLL’s group head for capital markets and Americas investors services, in a statement.

Jon will oversee growth for the firm’s investment sales and finance functions in the Americas, and will also head up the office product specialty.

“Jon’s drive, energy and experience complements our existing leadership team and his broad expertise across acquisitions, asset management, dispositions, finance and investment banking will be critical in helping shape our capital markets strategy and informing our interactions with clients,” Jay says.
