Bloomberg Eyes Third Data Center

Mayor Bloomberg s keeping it in NY. His data center, that is. According to local media, Hizzoner's financial network, Bloomberg LP,is eyeing Orangetown, NY for 140k SF data center to help feed the data apps for the company. Bloomberg will spend upwards of $700M. Company officials declined to offer more details but tell us Bloomberg has considered several sites in New Jersey and New York. The Rockland Industrial Development Authoritys approval of financial assistance is material to our selection, says Bloombergs Pam Snook. (No truth to the rumor Bloomberg is preventing overnight employees from drinking Red Bulls over 8 oz.)
