Colliers International Group has tapped two of its execs to lead the company’s new U.S. Capital Markets platform, which will oversee investment sales, brokering debt and equity deals, and structured finance.

The new co-heads of the platform are President-Investments, Leasing and Eastern Region USA David Amsterdam and Managing Director-Portland David Kotansky. The duo will continue in their current positions as well.
"Our Capital Markets platform will add great value to our growing business and be a strategic asset for our professionals across the U.S.,” Colliers Chief Operating Officer-U.S. Operations Gil Borok said in a statement.
Amsterdam’s background is in both global brokerage and public REITs. Colliers recruited the former SL Green Realty vice president less than a year ago.
Amsterdam was with Cushman & Wakefield for seven years before working for SL Green from 2011 until 2016. In 2017, he worked for the unsuccessful New York City mayoral campaign of former Cushman & Wakefield executive Paul Massey.
Kotansky has worked at Colliers since 2011, specializing in property and asset management.
