Austin Developer Might Anchor Nashville Development With Whole Foods

Will there be a new Whole Foods at the 1.6-acre site of the former Nelson Mazda dealership on Broadway near I-40?

It's a distinct possibility for Endeavor Real Estate Group's redevelopment of the site, since the Austin-based developer has a close relationship with the Austin-based grocer, and plans for the mixed-use development call for a ground-floor "anchor retailer," reports the Tennessean.

Endeavor recently asked the Downtown Code Design Review Committee for permission for more of the tallest part of the development to face Broadway at 12th Avenue North. [Tennessean]
