The huge Highpark housing development, formerly known as Ponte Vista, is finally about to be built.
Grading for the project began last week on the 61.5-acre San Pedro site.
The land was initially cleared two years ago, according to the Daily Breeze. The development has been highly debated for years, but the first home could be built by late 2017.
The entire project, which will have 676 residences, including condos, townhouses and single-family homes, may take up to four or five years to build. [DB]
