Belmar Opens Fully Occupied

What project can rival the Ninja Turtles in strong openings? Belmar Apartments, a 160-unit affordable project developed by Related California as part of its $350M Ocean Avenue South mixed-use, mixed-income condo/apartment village in Santa Monica. LEED Gold-certified, it's 100% occupied with a waiting list, according to KTGY Group principal Chris Texter. His firm served as the architect of record, working with concept design architects Koning Eizenberg. The six-story complex features ground-floor live/work studios with roll-up tempered glass doors, allowing resident artists to display their work. One- to three-bedroom units plus additional studios round out the project. Belmar was developed in partnership with the City of Santa Monica and Community Corporation of Santa Monica.
