Related California has begun work on 1755 Argyle, an 18-story luxury apartment building next to Capitol Records in Hollywood.
The company bought the site at 1755 Argyle Ave on the former KFWB studio lot last year.
The area was previously shown to have an earthquake fault underneath it, according to a state map, but city officials and the developer later said there was no fault there.
Large Architecture designed the building. Related plans to build a dog run and have a catering kitchen and underground parking as part of the project, according to Curbed. Find out the latest from Related CEO Bill Witte and others at Bisnow's Annual Multifamily and Mixed-Use Conference on July 20.
The property's previous owner was going to build a mixed-use development there with office space and 95 condos, including 10 live/work units.
