More Development Money for Westlake

Canfield Development has broken ground on its 87-unit mixed-use on West 7th Street, Building LA reports. The project will feature a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments above a small (1k SF) retail space. Amenities include a parking garage, fitness center and a recreation deck on the third level. It will also include five very-low income units.

The Nadel-designed project is just the latest in a spate of development dollars headed to Westlake. Just a couple of months ago, we told you about the 67-unit Hōm Temple apartments from Sharp Capital. Sharp also picked up a 92k SF office building (above) at 1200 Wilshire Blvd in DTLA last month.
