Development Dollars Headed to Westlake

Los Angeles Multifamily

It's taken some time, but new multifamily projects are finally coming to the North side of Westlake, as developers see opportunity in the underserved market.

One of the most notable projects is the 67-unit Hōm Temple from Sharp Capital, reports the LA Times. The 75k SF development is near Filipinotown and next to burgeoning hip communities Silver Lake and Echo Park. All units will have views of the garden areas, city skyline, or the Hollywood Sign.

Units will start at $1,500 a month, says the Times, and the project will include six low-income units. Other developers are seeing the area as a cheap alternative also, as 4Site Real Estate is underway on a 49-unit complex south of Echo Park.
