New Hotel To Replace Parking Lot Near LA Convention Center

As if any more proof were needed that downtown LA is booming, a new hotel from Lightstone is being planned near the LA Convention Center.

The two-tower Fig + Pico Hotel would replace a parking lot at the corner of Figueroa and Pico.

The 40-story and 28-story towers would have a total of 1,100 rooms, according to Curbed. There will be conference or meeting rooms and other amenities and 20k SF of retail space.

Gensler is the architect for the project, along with designers Yabu Pushelberg. [Curbed]
