The nonprofit North Los Angeles County Regional Center has signed a 167K SF long-term lease at 9200 Oakdale Ave. in Chatsworth.

The lease represents a renewal and expansion at the site for the Regional Center. The nonprofit previously occupied about 112K SF at the property.

The NLACRC partners with community-based organizations to serve individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

SALES

CBRE has arranged the sale of a 69K SF office property at 2300 E. Katella Ave. in Anaheim. The property was acquired by an undisclosed buyer for $15.2M.

CBRE’s Anthony DeLorenzo, Sammy Cemo and Bryan Johnson represented the institutional seller.

The four‑story steel and glass building sits on a highly visible corner lot in Anaheim’s Platinum Triangle, directly across from Angel Stadium, near the Honda Center and OC Vibe.

Daum Commercial Real Estate Services directed the $3.8M sale of a 13K SF Class-A warehouse building at 805 Deering Ave. in Canoga Park.

Daum Commercial's Dennis Marciniak represented private seller 8015 Deering LLC. Delphi Business Properties' Kevin Cooper represented Mak Cabessa of Maks Enterprises. The property will be used as a headquarters for warehousing electronic automobile modules.

LEASES

Bank of Hope has signed an approximately 50K SF office lease at the Aon Center in Downtown Los Angeles. With the new lease, Bank of Hope will also move its headquarters to the tower at 707 Wilshire Blvd.

The property’s ownership group includes Daniel Abrams, Andrew Shanfeld, Adam Rubin and Colliers' Adam Tischer, who also assembled the ownership group. Colliers' Matthew Heyn and Ian M. Gilbert brokered the lease on behalf of Carolwood LP. Avison Young's Hayden Eaves represented Bank of Hope.

CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT

The Newport Beach Planning Commission approved plans for a Related California development that would demolish the Regal Edwards Big Newport Theater and replace it with two 22-story condo towers, offices, restaurants and retail, according to KTLA. Environmental and preservation activists filed appeals with the city council in an attempt to halt the demolition.
