Four finalists have been chosen for a project to redevelop the Angel's Knoll Park in DTLA.
The city took ownership of the land three years ago after the previous owner, the Community Redevelopment Agency, closed.
The four finalists were chosen from a pool of 10, LA Downtown News reports. They are:
Lowe Enterprises, which is partnering with Gensler, opened the Garey Building last year in the Arts District.
The Peebles Corp., MacFarlane Partners and Claridge Properties, along with Handel Architects. MacFarlane Partners is developing Park Fifth, a seven-story residential building with 313 apartments and 7,500 SF of retail.
Canada's Onni Group, which is teamed up with San Francisco’s Natoma Architects.
Trammell Crow, which is teaming up with Beijing’s MAD Architects, designer of the famous Lucas Museum of Narrative Art that will soon be built at Exposition Park.
No one knows for sure what the proposed designs will be, but it is possible a mixed-use skyscraper will be built on the site.
