The Buckingham to Expand

Houston was just named one of the best cities for seniors (and our suburbs have been recognized before), and The Buckingham is gearing up to expand and take advantage of it. The senior living community recently secured $109M in financing (by selling series 2015 bonds underwritten by Ziegler Capital Markets) to renovate and add 106 independent living apartments, 33 assisted living suites, 18 memory care residences and 32 private skilled nursing rooms. Senior Quality Lifestyles Corp already acquired six additional acres and began construction; it will deliver in 2017. The existing property serves 323 residents and has been at or near 100% occupancy. Greystone Development, D2, Andres Construction, Kimley-Horn, and Bridge Bohacz & Associates are the development team.
