Fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant group Zoës Kitchen announced plans to double its Houston footprint, currently at 15 locations. Transwestern vice president Chris Reyes and associate Danielle Schidlowski will serve as the exclusive advisers for the chain, which is headquartered in Plano.
Last week Zoës Kitchen reported first-quarter results that disappointed investors. The chain is struggling with declining traffic and higher costs, prompting management to reduce its sales and profit forecast for the year ahead. Despite this, Zoë's Kitchen reiterated its goal of opening 38 to 40 company-owned restaurants in 2017.
