Sugar Land could get a convention center of its own, but only in connection with a full-service hotel, the Sugar Land Sun reports. But according to a market analysis and feasibility study presented to Sugar Land City Council Dec. 16, some other development may need to happen before launching a 350-key hotel, the Sun reports. Besides the Performing Arts Center, which broke ground this fall, there isn't much in walking distance of the preferred site in Telfair.
