Texas County Is Top 5 Nationally For Incoming Investments

Fort Bend County is No. 1 in Texas and No. 5 in the US for most incoming investments, according to a recent report by SmartAsset. Greater Fort Bend EDC CEO Jeff Wiley attributes much of the success to the businesses setting up shop and attracting residents, especially Fluor, Schlumberger, Eco Labs/Nalco, TI, ALDI and Minute Maid. Fort Bend's GDP growth is tenth in Texas; it's up $3.5M from 2013 to 2014. Pictured: The Fort Bend County Courthouse in Richmond.
