Concrete Pour At 2850 Fannin St.
As rain poured down over Midtown Saturday, concrete poured into the mat foundation of 2850, Midtown's first high-rise development, at 2850 Fannin St. About 550 trucks lined the blocks of Midtown throughout Saturday. Over the course of 12 hours, Hoar Construction and TAS Concrete delivered 5,500 cubic yards of concrete covering 600 tons of rebar. Designed by Houston-based Ziegler Cooper Architects, Caydon's 2850 will be 27 stories with 357 apartment units when completed in mid-2019.
Caydon will not stop there: The Australian developer purchased a second city block in Midtown to develop 600 more apartment units.
