New Retail Hub Poised For Business On Grand Parkway

The Shoppes at ParkWest, a 500k SF development in Katy, is nearing completion and has signed several national anchor tenants.

The 40-acre shopping center will deliver the first phase this summer, according to the Houston Business Journal. Tenants will include Bed Bath & Beyond, BuyBuy Baby, DSW, Kirkland’s, PetSmart and DXL.

Phase 2 should be completed and ready for customers in October with tenants including Golf Galaxy, Field & Stream, and Dick’s Sporting Goods. Those two phases total about 250k SF.

The Retail Connection and Houston-based Medistar Corp partnered on the development. Medistar owns the retail frontage and the 150 acres surrounding the development. Retail Connection will rep all leasing tenants.

Ultimately, the new development will include apartments, office buildings, a senior care center, a park, and of course, retail. Those components will be ready for business in 2018. [HBJ]
