Briarpark Green Tops Out

In more office development news, we were on hand for the topping out of Briarpark Green earlier this month, and snapped this of Granite executive managing director Scott Martin enjoying the festivities with Granite development manager Aaron Bidne and Hoar's Steve Pedigo. We also chatted with director of leasing Steve West, who tells us construction of the 300k SF spec tower is a month ahead of schedule and is now slated to complete in July. He doesn't have a tenant locked in yet but says he can see the site out his office window and has enjoyed watching it grow.

Steve thinks this'll be the prettiest property Granite's ever built (one cool feature is a stream-like lighting pattern inside the lobby). He was also pleasantly surprised by how killer the views are from the top; there are no tall buildings nearby, so there are unencumbered shots of Downtown, the Galleria, and the Medical Center. Steve had a close hand in picking theamenities: He uses his office fitness center all the time, so he took great interest in choosing equipment for Briarpark Green's wellness center. Hoar Construction is the GC and PGAL is the architect of the 12-story Class-A tower.
