Denver's become a world-class city seemingly overnight, but with that distinction come a few world-class challenges, especially Downtown. Come hear more about them, and possible solutions, at our Future of Downtown Denver event Sept. 21.

Peak Development Group principal Chad Ellington, who will be a speaker, tells us the affordability of housing is the market’s single biggest challenge going forward. "We urgently need construction defect reform at the state level that will allow and spur more affordable, for-sale condo developments in the desired urban areas of the city," he says. In short, Denver's at risk of joining other high-priced markets whose reputation might discourage talented Millennials from moving there. "We don't want our reputation to become 'unaffordable' to people and companies that look to relocate here,” Chad says. Peak's 58-unit X @ Sloans broke ground in May, with completion slated for next summer.
