The Acquisition Of Navpoint's Property Management Business Adds About 300K Sf To Dunton's Portfolio.

Denver-based Dunton Commercial LLC has acquired NavPoint Real Estate Group’s property management division.

The move, which allows Castle Rock-based NavPoint to focus on its brokerage and investment clients, adds about 300K SF of third-party property management to Dunton’s portfolio for a total of 3M SF of retail, office and industrial properties. Last year, Taylor Fenn, Peter Katz and Nate Melchior acquired Dunton Commercial with the intent of increasing its property management portfolio to 5M SF within three years.

“The NavPoint management acquisition gave Dunton the opportunity to add some great assets to the portfolio and add a great person to the team — Bonnie Keyes,” Fenn said. “Since the acquisition of my first property management company in 2014, it has been obvious that technology will disrupt the industry, which is why Dunton is investing heavily, enabling greater efficiency and effectiveness for our team, allowing them to focus on adding value to our clients’ assets.”

The acquisition of the NavPoint management business is Dunton’s third acquisition in less than five years.

“We see an opportunity to provide value to owners of management companies who are looking to retire or exit their business,” Fenn said.
