Elkco Properties Inc. has purchased a 58-unit apartment complex in Carbondale for $9.15M.

In a quiet residential setting, Garfield Avenue Apartments has 20 one-bedroom/one-bathroom units and 38 two-bedroom/one-bathroom units. The complex offers a large communal courtyard that provides tenants with a place to relax, barbecue and enjoy the views of Mount Sopris. The property is within walking distance to numerous restaurants, bars, shops and outdoor recreational options such as the Rio Grande Trail, Crystal River and Sopris Park.

“The property generated numerous offers due to a lack of workforce housing in the Roaring Fork Valley,” said Cushman & Wakefield Denver Senior Associate Steve Scrivener, who, with Director Tyler Stevens, represented seller MHP Funds.
