Country Club Towers II Underway

Groundbreaking of Country Club Towers II at 1001 E Bayaud Ave, which was delayed last month because of bad weather, has now happened. The Broe Group property will be a 552-unit apartment complex in two towers in the Washington Park neighborhood. The work will mean the demolition of about 20% of the existing Country Club Gardens building, with the rest of the historic property intact on the outside, the Denver Business Journal reports. The project has been in the works a long time, with overall plans approved by the City of Denver more than 10 years ago. [DBJ]
