Weld County Primed for Growth

Quebec-based ROI Land Investments Ltd signed a purchase offer for 225 acres in Evans, near Greeley. ROI president Philippe Germain tells us this part of the state is a sure value. “Weld County is still the only Colorado county to have no long-term debt, and where the most oil and gas well permits have been approved,” he says. Whatever the fluctuations in the energy market, that’s not about to change; large oil and gas companies still plan to invest billions of dollars there. Besides, the local economy is diversified well beyond energy, a fact that will spur employment growth. “There’s an unfilled need in the residential and commercial development, and that's where we come in,” Philippe says.
